Introducing Winshuttle Connect in Winshuttle Runner 10.3

With v10.3, Winshuttle Connect v1.0 is enabled. Connect is a free cloud-based license management system for Winshuttle desktop products. It allows your license administrators to self-manage Winshuttle license and product allocations centrally.

In addition, this new capability offers greater administrative visibility through centralized usage reporting, allowing an administrator to more easily identify underutilized license allocations.

There are additional benefits for end-users. Now, they can install Winshuttle desktop applications on any internet enabled PC and work from anywhere at any time, without needing a special license key for each machine they use.

Customers currently using Node Lock or FlexNet Licensing are eligible to migrate to Connect.

Connect is available for Transaction, Runner and Query. Connect is not available for Central users.

Upon Installing or upgrading to Winshuttle v10.3 products, users will be greeted with a screen explaining Connect’s value and given the opportunity to request their account to be migrated.

This step can be skipped and products can continue being used as they are or, Connect access can be requested.

To ensure a smooth migration process, here are a few things to keep in mind:

• Connect migration requests need to be approved by your license administrator or fulfillment person.
• If you do not know who that person is within your organization, you can still make the request and we will contact them and secure approval.
• Connect is only available in English for the time being. Localized versions will be offered in future versions.
